Come I am a storyteller, I am a poet.
Come follow me into the mist on my pristine white cruise ship.
Bonnie J. Sittler

Machination

A young woman standing on the upper deck of the
pristine white cruise ship
gazes out at the sparkling sapphire waters of the deep swirling ocean.
She listens to the night and the music from down below.
She is looking for romance on this cruise around the world.
Each night she stands and gazes wishing for her love to come.
This night the air is filled with mist and a strange sound
she has never heard before.
While she gazes upon the foaming waters and hazy mist,
she sees a figure standing in the middle of the swirling waters.
Her spine begins to tingle a slight shiver of anticipation.
She turns as if to clear her head and beside her is a man.
He captures her with his intriguing eyes of bluegreen and his mysterious smile of secret
machinations.
They dance the whole night through.
He holds her close and whispers stories of old and captures her heart
in the swirling mists of lost constellations.
He tells her of his sailing ship
The Treasure Captured
and
of her fanciful bounty.
He tells her one-day she will sail away and forever young she will be.
She closes her eyes for just a moment-
He is no longer there held within her tender embrace.
Her heart begins to ache as if she has lost something irreplaceable.
Something she will not find on the decks of this mighty ship
or on the city pavements of New York City.
Deep within the hidden crevasses of her heart she feels an undying love for
the stranger of the waters.
Will he one-day return and claim her heart once again
or
was it all a fanciful dream?
She stands and gazes out upon the waters as a tear slides into the
waters of another day.
Seventy years have now past.
She stands and gazes out upon the swirling sapphire blue waters.
She turns and beside her is a man with intriguing bluegreen eyes and a
mysterious smile of secret machinations.

Well another segment to this story. Have to think on that one.
Like............

"Where do dreamers and lovers go."
or
"Her hand slips into his strong masculine hands. The man with bluegreen eyes."

Just ideas running around in my head.
