It's All A Lie

I say everyday,
"I don't need anyone"
but it's all a lie.

The disappointment
comes in pours,
raining on my progress,
no one winning here.

Each day another hurt
to the soul and for some reason
I have you in my mind, knowing
there could be some comfort,
if only, but knowing
the you I need, can't help.

So I tell myself a lie,
hiding what is true.
No miracles today
for it is reigning blue.

And there is nothing I can do
to change each morning's hue.
