billboards stole the sky
looming overhead
like demacles swords
until they dropped
and became storefronts

the Queen will die!
the faithful had cried
they'd seen the signs
and piece by piece
building by building she did

trading culture for commerce
because humble
doesn't sell on Bay
polished and antiseptic
chrome and lights

the pout and preen of the egowhores

*A lament of Queen St. Toronto

Bellllooooooooo, welcome back!

You KNOW how much I love this.

Dory heh.

Beauty of the world which is soon to perish has two edges, one of laughter and one of anguish, cutting the heart asunder.

I loved this Aenimal..You are a profound thinker and expertly put your thoughts into words..

As we grow older,
and hopefully wiser
What's important seems to change,
It's not the money or material things,
they become quite plain.

I'd love to be a window,
Across from a day care school,
Watching kids play out life,
Just doing the things kids do.

Just being a simple window,
Watching the day go bye
Skyscapers going upwards,
Ruin the view of the sky.

Hey look over there!
Little girls of peaches and cream,
Having a tea party setting,
And all of thier grown up dreams.

Across the street in their "real" world,
Little boys are running and winning,
Venturing out of their protective backyards,
Little lives just now beginning.

See the old oak right out front?
The wind bends back and forth.
And look what it does to the pond over yonder,
The ripples-white cap into shore.

Yep, a window's what I wish I was,
Watching the world go bye,
No worries or problems with just one care,
To get "Windexed" to clear my eyes.
