rankled orbs of star-lit night
fording streams with bearings bright
sail across a canopy of sea-like hangings

ever nautical, ever nocturnal, fluid
tributary, luminary of lucid
dreams and hopes’ exchangings

waiting tables of mist-bathed lovers
slings of cupid’s phalanx hovers
casting spells, spelling changings

fording streams with bearings bright
cross these orbs of star-lit night
