A poor rabbit is lost,
for only one lousy symbol
prevails over every map.

A preacher recites interesting lyrics
fashioned out of long sermons
printed on ecumenical matters.

A possum runs in, laughing,
from outside, others look suspicious,
perhaps obtaining easy money.

A poet resides in limbo,
foolishly obsessing over little secrets
practiced on ending March.

Dr. Moose,
I would love to know the story behind this.
You have me guessing.  Interesting write.  I'll have to read it once more this evening, sleep on it, then reread it later to see if I have any better understanding.  Everytime I think I get it, then I find that I don't.

Later:

Oh wait-Perhaps, I just figured it out!  I can't wait to read any further response to see if I'm on the right track.  ENJOYED!

Sadelite,
Thanks.
The story behind this is... I got to playing around with acrostics again. (As I surmise you have figured out by now), so here's another. I believe this may also be a Haiku.

A poem reads in lines
formed out of letters simply
placed on each meaning

Hope you had a wonderful April first.
Doc
Passing shadows,
