What is it like
To have a quiet mind
No screaming chains
Tugging you into oblivion
Do this
No do that
Dreaming, screaming
Lack of control
A zillion projects at once
None near completion
Most forgotten
Speaking thoughtlessly
Reacting wrecklessly
Four hours to complete
What my head finished days ago
So many distractions
Fight for focus
Focus your impulses
Leap frog with too many frogs
Exhaustion comes
Sleep tries to claim
Yet sleep is helpless
For the mind never stops
Your body twitches even dreamless
It doesn't let go
Emotions under control
Then you open your eyes
Or is it close them
You're never quite sure
I finished it
I know I did
Look at the page it's empty
You only thought it done
No matter how you try
ADHD is always
Inside

I was a poet once and now I flounder in shallow water searching for my lost voice.

BRAVO! Being one who suffers from insomnia I can realte to this. I felt like you were describing me...sort of. The only difference being I can focus on one thing at a time. Without sleeping pills though...my mind never shuts down. Love this Crimson Moon.

Remember, if you're not part of the future, you're history!

My little nephew suffers from ADHD as well as myself so when I look at him I realize what it must have been like for my mom when I was a child.

It's difficult but playing dead has never been my forte'.

Hugs,
