Between the Lines

I fear the last of words have sprung
from an already dry well.
That only the morbid
will show in print
and leave a lasting sadness
as my final judgement.

I question it all,
with no solutions to be found.
Only conclusions that steal my breath,
wanting to take the little happiness
that I find in life.

I am at extremes, being pulled apart
wanting to seek some joy,
yet needing to do the necessary,
preparing for the inevitable
knowing prayers will no longer help
except to be able to voice my thoughts
alone, aloud.

One more fear added
to what was already
more than enough
to
  drag
      me
        down.

"Love is not blind - It sees more and not less, but because it sees more, it is willing to see less."
(Will Moss)

You touch on something everyone should try...
to take happiness from little things in life.
I call them "happiness points"...you score
one or two when you see a lovely butterfly,
or find humor in the words of a child..and so on.  I doubt that happiness is ever full blown for anyone.   Hope these words of wisdom from an old man help.
