Spring
if earth’s re-awakening time
can be described in words
then these simple B words
can do it just fine.
In fields of buttercups
butterflies flitter here and there
as only a butterfly can
as nervous wings carry them up,
down and all around.
This endless blanket of beauty
seemingly sets the field ablaze
with the little yellow blossoms
giving one the sense of duty
just to lay under the big blue sky
and blissfully pass the day away.
As winter’s hold is finally broken
and like a breath of fresh air
spring is finally nigh.
