I am afraid my anger shows in this one...

Closet creatures stalk the night
Young hearts pound grownups fright
Creatures claiming god’s with them
Claiming to be god and some
Destroying innocence and trust
So intent to claim the Virgin’s prize
A religion is held to blame with me
For offering birth through virginity
When the ultimate is young and pure
Then god’s men argue they should be first
To take the offering to that god
That has made them such awful demons
Demons who have claimed their prizes
A church that looks the other way
Don’t let those prices enter the fray
A theology that claims god’s support
Can’t let go of those dark creatures
That destroyed the pure

Martie and Nancy - thanks for reading and your kind words - guess this came from reading the papers and the incedible arrogance I have heard in words from the "princes" of the church...

   Yes.  I'm disappointed, is that the word?
Imbittered? Angry? not sure of the feeling by how far things have come in certain areas.  I'm glad you put this out here...
