To my amazement on watching the ground
Was another world my eyes had found
I sat on a rock watching the teems of life
As they made their way in their world of strife

No jungle in the world could compare
Of what goes on where I did stare
A spider web for the unwary was seen
While marching workers in files did glean

Hunters and gatherers were all around
To elk out an existence without a sound
Miniature life, amidst leaf and loam
Yet all had a destination, which led to home

Then seeing two birds rub beak to beak
I began to wonder how the others did seek
For life goes on, with survival the key
Giving us the glimpse, of the life to see

Do you stop to enjoy life’s small
Or does the whole simply overawe
Wear blinders not, and look around
For life brings smiles in what is found

Yes indeed Logan. Not only should we stop and smell the roses.....but take a good long pause and be in awe of the tiny workings that are happening underfoot as well as up above. It is amazing. Enjoyed this. Chris

~*~

Once again, you lay down a stick on the fire,
and keep the embers ablaze with memory...

it is in the simplest, smallest pleasures
our sense of the greatest joys are found...

if only in a smile.

Thank you for your wisdom, and for watching...

The best thing about such finding may be the sudden realization that it was never lost.

I like your way of thinking.
