Searching,
Deep down inside,
But there is nothing to find,
The more I look,
I find yet again,
A closed book.

No where to turn,
Beyond what I thought was there,
Things that were stable,
Now have become,
A never ending fable.

Everything is falling,
Away from my weakened grasp,
Memories of my passed,
Memories of the present,
Over flow my already drenched mind.

Confused,
But even that begins to fade,
As my world,
The one I thought I knew,
Crumbles,
Until what was once made,
Falls into nothing,
An empty serenade.

This made me wonder, Krista, whether or not you've ever studied the classics of music.  I understand your meaning, but I have yet to find an empty serenade.  I imagine there can be one, yes...but listen again...

there is a trill and thrill yet to hear.

Now...write me another poem, please.

Oh, Dear Kristabell, this was such a sad serenade ~ but so poetically expressed.

This really moved me and I feel like sending you a great big angel hug!

Warm, comforting hugs,
EA

Kristabell, such a sad song, sad and lonely, and I know the feeling.  In looking back over many years, though, I've found that those times were great periods of growth and change -- thanks for sharing and wishing you well.
