But for the Sun

The sun is coming
  the warmth of her rays
like open arms penetrate
and awaken the cold of my bones
restless and shaken
  I hunger for its touch
the chill that has held me captive
no longer finds comfort in my marrow
Surrending is a welcome release

Scavanging for meaning
  surviving on pellets of sand
leaves me in hunger
  for a better purpose
the smile of a new day
  the heat of compassion
and the promise of replenishment
  causes me to give thanks
for the abundance of the
  little I have..

I have never yearned for the warmth of the sun's healing rays, as much as I do now! I felt every word of this sun-honouring poem of gratitude.

Blessings to Father Sun and to you!

Warm, sunny hugs 'n smiles,
EA
