Listening to every heart

Shadow, Glance

Prognosticators of events
Likened to tea leaves and gypsy tents
Promised me so full a day,
Of spring
Of warm and sunny skies.

I ventured out
Into this gray,
Seeking sun of other days,
But nowhere was I to see
My shadow duly attached to me.

Moderate mild is all we feel
A mist in silent cloud appeal,
A spark of sun
‘Tis all I want,
That, and shadow’s playful tease and taunt.

Somewhere far my shadow has gone,
I beg it come, it stays too long!
Perhaps it’s on a bluebird’s wing
In search of sound,
To find sweet spring.

In dark of moonless night, I’ll dream
Of sun-kissed tomorrows come full stream,
That shadow will chance to peek a glance,
And favor me with but one dance,
In this, I pray, sun seeks the sky…

Karilea - if I whisper, will you listen?  Keeping in mind, I must stand close...

It's coming Karilea...tomorrow it's SPRING!!

Love this...and also love the addition to your sig line.

Poetry is not an opinion expressed...
it is a song that rises from a bleeding wound
...or a smiling mouth.

Tomorrow is a new day

As it blazes with sleet, sun, snow, wind, rain

It remains a new day

Some may just be satisfied

with the view

and life

What could spring say, when posed such delighted requests?

Smiling at you.
