Vines heavy with grapes
Crisp shadows of full moons
Ecology dreams
In fat ripples
Leeward breezes sing flowers
Through the air
We’ve crossed seas
Holding each other
Touching through ramparts
We were the cargo
To feed and fatten
Self contained sanctions
Weaving smiles like children
Versions of ballads
Our oneness of home

We’ll be around a long time
Like elk in high places
Breathing photos of the world
Spoken for generations
Collecting each criticism of influence
Opening to dreams “Carpe Diem”
Patterns of sounds
Draw our eyes upslope
Elegantly beautiful
Vivid evocation
In a steady storytelling momentum
