Tucked away detailing metal machines
Invoking such spirits, flirts a jagged mystery
Romans, Greeks, Parisians aloft
Bursting indentations of influential lumps

Greenhouses ticked away the hours
Spinning ideas of universal planets
Surgical powers, creating pneumatics
Discovering insight remarkably surviving

All in man’s ancient memories!

Pouring drifting climates on chariots of wings
Kernels of movement infinitely causing precision
Collections within a hall of the muses
Three-dimensional numbers of schemes of the universe

Earth…the nucleus around which the moon moves

Continuous spruce, sways in the wind
For students of hues, relinquishing shaman
Huge torrential diver, finding the core of gravity
Blazed theoretical topography in this massive library

Atlas’s of Heaven

Dragging death relics of size and distance
Rotating turntables delivered atmospheric motives
Wavering swollen gates of sand and stone
Where scholars lay in tombs of sculptured bones

Universal Living Minds Measuring Time

Gongs smoldering hydraulics with jagged fingered spins
Self-timing lamps, manipulating looping distances
Suggesting each oration of moon & sun
Circumnavigated by premise, a rotating motion

Places Seen by the Mind’s Eye are Infinite

Flexions of measure, thinking a great highway ~
Slumbers deep in a knowledgeable biography
Moving among a dribbling hose mile after mile~
Wind milling water in great towers known~

Ancient poles ellipse watercourse of life
Watchers speaking morning’s willing light
Arrogant hoops that spun by drops of dew
Metal detailing thoughts of automaton strewn

Gears long ago, their reaching hands
Technicians of instance, children of inventions
Internal calculus 2,000 years before Newton?
Relations of borders, naming an increasing sequence

... as Archimedes was carrying mathematical instruments, dials, spheres, and angles, by which the size of the sun might be measured to the human eye, soldiers thought him to be carrying gold and killed him.  Little did they know, he was?

LeeJ,
Once again the bouquet of your words overwhelm the stage. You are a bright star.
Good morning

I have to agree with Seymour- a bouguet of words overwhelming take center stage. I too am in awe of the knowledge that those before us had.  It seems that we haven't caught up with a lot of it, yet.  On the the other hand, incredible advances are being made.   Yes, pearls of the Mediterranean.  Thank you for sharing your talent and depth.
