Across the lake where the trees meet the sky
Comes the sunrise to fill my waking eyes.
In the old pine beside the creaking dock
songbirds breathe thier minstrel thoughts
Into this silent moment tranquil filled
a murmmured whisper breaks the still.
I turn and smile at your quivering face
as your dream comrades fade away
Your eyes open to my connection
your smile speaks recognition.
Then, surfacing from mellow sands of sleep
your accepting emeralds glow and greet
the open passage into these arms of mine
as I crave your consciousness by my side.

Ain't doin nothin at all
Just answerin the call
Kinda driftin away from it all~~~~~

"and then we sailed into the mystic" ...

E-babes this poem is as lovely as it gets..
superb imagery and scene setting to create the tone...love that last lines romantic intend. A mural of poetic landscape.
waaay cool

Home is a feeling I buried in you ...
I'm alright, I'm alright ... It only hurts when I breathe ...

Beautiful Eric!!
Leaves me *sighing*.

it is a song that rises from a bleeding wound

I liked the same verse Nancy did...
and the warm feelings you words left me with.

A truly stunning piece of poetry, ethome~

"I crave your consciousness by my side" - This line for me says it all because so often that isn't the case at all.  To be consciously in love is what we as a species need to aspire to.  We'll get there one day one way or another.

It's really beautiful and deserves to be quoted entirely.
