"What is it we're made of, made of?" as if in rhyme we ask
when smiles appear to crumble beneath weighted gain of loss.
Why do we skulk in knowing that boon can stem from bad?
Instead we linger salt mist sky aback the albatross.

What are we made of, made of?
In all precission, stardust.
Would Stardust ride the albatross?

I am quite certain stardust
loves to float upon all wings
lifted with Heavens breath
Albatross, Pigeon, Dragonfly
any
   all

Wings that rise
    Stardust Upwards
       all to always

Janet,
Thanks for the cool!  I appreciate your response.

Eternity,
I think we're on different pages.  But that's ok because poetry is open to interpretation. I liked yours.  You did cause me to make an edit though. (I then personified Stardust). Thanks for getting me to think.  I'm trying to describe where I think we first varied in interpretation. Perhaps here.
"Instead we linger salt mist sky aback the albatross."   First of all, I'm too impatient to linger about some things, especially in salt mist.  That's muggy and uncomfortable, and it yucks up my hair!  Secondly, I'm too stubborn to ride; too independent-don't need a bird to carry me-ought to be able to go on my own.  Then why do I feel I need others at times when I know from experience that I should just close the door taking the blessings I've gained?   Ok. That pretty well describes the first part.
The second part is up to your interp.  I know mine!  Smiles sent.  Thanks for taking time to comment and read.

Goldenrose,

Yeah, I agree.  Thought provoking.  I still remember reading a poem of yours from a couple of weeks ago.  I really identified with the circumstances and liked how you described.  It was very thought provoking, too.  Perhaps this would make a chapter 2 for the poem I'm referring.  Take care.

In all precision, stardust

... you mean not the glittering one we see flashing in the night sky ...

You show your knowing in your question. Boon can stem from bad ..

Your deep ponderings are stirring. Your mind holds stardust .... the glittering one.

Margherita,
And you're in the knowing, too, my poetic friend.  I'm glad you commented about "Why do we skulk from knowing boon can come from bad?"  Two of those words were not in my vocabulary until I met with the thesaurus when I wrote it.  I wondered if they worked or would be understood.  Thanks for your sweet response.

iliana,
Thanks for your positive comments.  Do you remember Daddy teasing us with the poem about what are little girls made of?  Sugar and spice and everything nice.  That's what little girls are made of, made of.   (I always wanted to be made of strings and snails and puppy dog tails-it sounded more adventurous!)  We were so fortunate to have had him instill the love of sound and questioning in us.  And Mom, too.  Incredible woman.  Thanks for commenting, Jo.

Wow, this one really makes me think...
kind of (in my interpretation anyway) point out the irony of so much of what we do as humans. Wanting good but never accepting it like we should... I guess humans tend to cling to darkness, it's easier to understand.
Anyway, I love this! Thanks for the great read.

Alyssa, your interpretation was exactly what I meant.  Do you read my mind?  I don't know if darkness is easier for me to understand or not-I'm wondering if we strive to keep darkness as to
keep ourselves in check, or in balance.  I have no understanding why we don't accept goodness and move on, leaving the darkness behind.   I enjoyed your insightful comment.
I hope all is going well.  Thank you for stopping by and sharing your thoughts.  They always mean a lot me me.  Have you posted lately?  I don't recall seeing your name.

Paul,
I've enjoyed enough of your posts to know that.  You are a fine writer.  Thank you for stopping by again.  I can hardly find time to make my rounds but am eager to stop by and catch up on my reading.  It seems that is all I have done in the last three days and am nowhere near it.  I read and think too slowly.
