It’s been a long night
I’ve filled myself with wine
With thoughts and dreams

still unfulfilled

I see a start of red
Arising
My life as I wish it to be
Then it’s orb
Kisses the world

Blending it's warmth
With my mind

If only I could move there
Then what of my dreams
As I burn them in the light

My day has dawned
Tiredness calls me

I have lived to see the day

But yet failed to understand

Life

Sometimes you can't understand it, you just do it.  I like this one.

I like this one, too...

it feels very familiar.

I wrote IT on the 11th October 1998 and posted it on the Tag, Open Scroll.

It provided the basis of watching the sun arise for a vision even know I can see;

I lost a lot of poems because I felt they weren't good enough and destroyed them.

If I do repeat a poem it will be because I feel a need either from me or to someone else

Your search for meaning has taken you inside yourself....the answer sometimes comes from there...but often as not it is waiting in front of you...in plain sight...i sometimes do not see the glaringly obvious....because i am looking too deep...fine write of your inner thoughts though..

Thank you....

I have felt like this from time to time.

No-one is an island as they say, we just get bit waterlogged now and again

The eyes dont just want to focus at times and at other times pure arrogance prevents from seeing

And you travel as a Viking on some ship at some moments when you leave reality and see the dark of the water and then some moon starts shining on it and screws the whole thing up

Thanks to all of you for your comments
