Learning to Walk Again

One straight burnt trunk
Still finds the sky

A spirit’s walking stick

It casts a shadow
So do I

I can believe that Martie

Too late for me to write words
to echo the vision you portray
but perhaps tomorrow,
will be another day

Martie, Sis...if I were forced to find one poem of yours
that speaks of determination,
strength
purpose

you

this is it.

I love you for this.  But I have loved you
from the first, so...it's not a question.  It's just affirmation that you...
my Sister...
are a most special person.

I am grateful to be in your circle.

Sometimes the simplest, starkest statements are best.

I know where this comes from, and the surge in you that engendered it....like Sunshine, I can't think of a better way for you to say, "This, I am."

Simple, did I say? Like calculus is simple. This tiny poem has fractal dimensions, and each is yours.

Martie,
And a fine shadow of words you cast!  Great title and value.

Wow.  Perfectly distilled.  Like it was waiting to be captured, with exactly these words.

I stuck some words for Boy in the prose section

Can I ask to look at Boy's words and frustration and write some more

Martie - you say oh so much with so few words - each word genders lots of pondering and that images and that feelings and that is a poem from Martie - Paul
