White faced black top
the sky has its liquidation sale

opening its garage dors
it releases the surplus of winter

snow fills the air
soft as a wished upon dandelion

expectations sink like bricks
drown in puddles

sparrows sip the aftermath
dream of daffodils

the disappointed goddess puts back her overcoat

regardless of weather
the equinox comes saturday
undaunted by my my impatience or longing

Holding the arms wide
Image of useless objects

Mystic on 2 wheels
Balancing the spirit

Of disappointing dreams
that need

Like your poem, got caught up on the Zen

Sorry Ink

Philosophical anticipation ...
Spring is impatient too to embrace you.
Beautiful.

Well described - imagery! I enjoyed reading this... and here in Florida, the temperature will reach the 80s today. It is time for softball!

Raindrops then snowflakes
swirling in fierce north winds;
Such confusion-
under an uncertain sky,
spring's first buds covered in white.

[And so, he sits and waits,
till she sheds her coat and dons that smile
joining in embrace -two familiar strangers-
as the sun reflects on bay waters,
the gurgle of red-wine pouring,
the sounds of gulls as they soar
in the distance...]   ~P

God Michele...this is stunning!
Very much enjoyed!

Poetry is not an opinion expressed...
it is a song that rises from a bleeding wound
...or a smiling mouth.

I'm sure the "Zen Master" will answer such a fine, poetically expressed desire!  Happy Equinox!

Spring's a comin'!

mangoes and merlot
struedel and spinach pie
manna from heaven
in a sensearound of bay and
the fumes off the Belt
it all smelled like home
