Spring locked in silence
Ice storm's frigid aftermath
Gardens shine in weep
Sprouts become green popsicles
Frozen liquid smooth

we are in the middle of blizzard here folks and my garden was just giving birth!

Hi Chris!  Great weather eh? Five to six inches of snow down here.  My poor little sprouts coming up..hope they will survive winter's last gasp.
Excellent write.
Love and miss ya, Teed.

The garden will revive...I've been watching the weather...just when we think it's going to let go? It grabs hold again.  I think April 1st is a little early, that's what I think!

Thankyou all. I really do hope my sprouts in the garden will use this snow as a blanket and just go back to sleep for a little while. Hugs!

You needn't fret about your spring plants Chris.  They can handle the unpredictable weather associated with this time of year.  Great write!

Chris...this is a fine poem...it is always sad when the snow covers newly sprung greenery...but it WILL come back...even stronger...

Thank you...

You captured what your garden is going throuogh, in words, with a very nice visual imagery. Enjoyed!
