Carmine Blossoms

This copiously sanguine-colored exorbitant treasure,
That replenishes the placid dog days with lightness,
Lacquers this time scarlet with spirited brightness,
Thus bequeathing everlasting, and peerless pleasure.
The vermilion bouquets, while they bloom at leisure,
Throw radiant sapphire droplets on sundry whiteness,
Sans constraint, they require not binding tightness,
This composition is prototypical of Naiad's measure.

For only a sunrise splendor prevails in this beauty,
Hitherto brutal winter will butcher these creatures,
Thus we will lament the demise of vermilion flowers.
Yet for a day they burst forth, for 'tis their duty,
To give completion and rapture with florid features,
Paying out their all, inside these sheltered bowers.

Remember, if you're not part of the future, you're history!

Gorgeous imagery of spring within the last of winter.  Like the definition of hope.

Beautiful Kevin...
I am worried about my little shoots just coming through the recently thawed earth..
and now this snow on top...
when will it end?
Come on Spring!
Hugs~

Poetry is not an opinion expressed...
it is a song that rises from a bleeding wound
...or a smiling mouth.

Sounds like a red azalea...
Amazing how such splendor is wrapped in tiny, dormant buds....won't be long now until the day comes for them to "burst forth", enjoyed reading this, Kevin, Thank you
