Between the Lines

The sigh deepens as I navigate my thoughts,
eyes roaming the surroundings room by room.
The dying flowers on the table, centered,
a reminder of once being good to myself.

The silence, a week ago comforting, now grating
to ears locking in the message of emptiness.
Piles of mail, unopened, untouched but for the top
and bottom, unwanted.

Phobias creeping in, days collecting into weeks,
unlived and useless, time becoming meaningless
living in fear.

Impressive write and in certain passages also familiar ... but it's just too sad.

Hi nakdthoughts. Oh my this is sad...but so well written. I love it of course. I am very pleased I decided to read this today. I really haven't been feeling well lately, but today I woke up feeling a little better and so I decided to treat myself with some reading...glad this was one of the ones I chose to open. Bravo!
