I think I posted this poem once before, but just wanted to drop in and say hi really. Missing all you good folks on PIP. Things here are going well, but life, family and 3 hours of driving on top of 8 hours of work every day keep me quite occupied. Sending my love and hugs to all here

She’s Such A Tease

She bent to kiss my cheek
catching me unaware
and leaving my face flushed
by her heat
and lips dewy moist
with the taste of her.

She whispered on the breeze
tempting me
with promises of picnics
along the creek in the misty new grass
and warm star filled nights.
She seduced me with fresh bouquets
of tulips and forsythia.

She crept in so softly, that tease,
caressing me before leaving daffodils
to wait under the blanket
of fresh snow.
.
.
.
Oh, Spring is such a tease isn’t she?

Ya think?  I'm sitting here looking at a bright sunshiny day and the temperature is still only 40 - BUT - We've got those little sprouts trying their best to pop up through last fall's leaves...

I love your poem, m'friend... and I'd love even more if we could see your smiling face at Liz's...

We miss you, our friend.
And so like you, to tease us
a little...

Come back soon?  And stay through
summer...I need to hear the hoot
again...

Sounds like the weather where I live. Yesterday it was crisp and sunny, today we woke up to hail! But at least it's never boring. Great write Hoot! Your imagery was really beautiful.

Hoot -- I don't remember reading you before; I'm still fairly new.  I agree, what a wonderful forum this is and the poet friends are very special.  I really enjoyed reading this very lovely and light piece.

Thanks for all the wonderful comments, I can't tell you how much I miss this place at times. Hopefully things will slow down a bit and I can once more be a part of the forums
