Listening to every heart

0 posted 2004-03-13 07:49 AM

Shadowland

He calls to only me
so quietly
so soft

come

and I ache with aches
indescribable,

the pain so freshly wrought

he cries out to me
beseeching
so quietly

come to me

in shadows he stands
I reach and fail to reach
and shed silent tears

weeping only he hears

come to me my love

and would I do anything
give anything
lose everything to once again

hie to him

come to me

Yes I would, I would
sacrifice all to
once again lay
in his arms

hear his heart beat

touch warm skin

come

O my love…

I'm so glad you reposted this beauty Karilea, I missed it the first time.

Good morning Sunshine. It has been a while since I popped in to read you. Glad I did. I love this piece. It is hauntingly beautiful. Of course I knew I was in for a treat when I opened it...but WOW...what a treat it was.
