TUESDAY

the desert is dry
fine grit sandpaper
pelts parched lips. starched

nudity shrinks lemon raindrops
henchmen gladly receive regardless
if they have to pee. garter snakes graze

laze in long tall grass
where all that slithers, slides
eventually shivers, dies.

beaded prayers from
bearded men hail no marys
the fig tree is dead
and no-man's land
is now overpopulated.

headlines in monday's tattered newspaper
now regarded with uninterested glances.

That was beautiful and deep. If I am the only one to respond I will say this. It was really nice.

Hey Grover man this is deep...but definitely worth the read. Well done my friend. I am not sure how this piece got so far down the page before I seen it...but back to the top it goes!

Remember, if you're not part of the future, you're history!

tuesday indeed....

joy has its own justice. and dreams are languid and lawless. and everything bows to beauty, when it's fierce and when it's flawless...

Just in the Gospel of today there was the part regarding the Fig tree not bearing fruit ... Another chance was granted, before the tree was eradicated.

Can we count on another chance?

Powerful write.
