In March we lost a mind a dream
A sister, brother, daughter
Mother, father  screamed
Pain so terrible inside
Tried so many ways to hide
There is no hiding though it seems
For those whose souls are getting creamed
We wonder what might have been
How lives would differ
How love was lessened
That all lives somehow lost a little
The community sometimes seems brittle
But she danced a while and we all gained
But when the news rained
We cried out – NO
It isn’t right
To lose a soul that often was bright
Something is lost each time it happens
A parent less child
A child less mom or dad
A bother or sister missing
Friend less one who gave them love
A spouse no more closes a door
Our lives brightened for a brief while
Memories glimmer and brighten
But the loss is real and never are we over
But sometimes a spirit crosses our being
And we remember without seeing

22 years ago this month my sister Bonnie ran out of ways to handle the pain of life and ended hers.  This year I needed to write this for her...

Oh, Paul

Your words really tugged at my heartstrings and I am deeply sorry for your loss.  I hope your words continue to bring you comfort.

Take care......Sue

So sad..and too often the way out we wish they hadn't taken.
I'm so sorry for your loss.
Heart Hugs.

Poetry is not an opinion expressed...
it is a song that rises from a bleeding wound
...or a smiling mouth.

Thanks to you all - it is a very difficult thing to have someone leave that way - always unanswered questions - your words are kind and comforting - Paul
