Morning is a state of being
Simple precinct
Frescoes dripping with chronicles
Monuments of quarterly seasons
Gesturing pleasant weather

I’d forgotten what seized me
What looked like craggy rocks
Shuffling on lonely beaches
Old…worn away, collecting coupons symbolic
Like lost voyagers knocking
Plying at my door
Torn…disheartened
Pulling angles off of clouds

Staring blank less out to sea
These little hit and miss rocks
Slouching with unawareness
Crumbling bones of what dwarfed
Slender harbors…out-of-body lost souls
Challenging a danger of no repair
Sunken…skating a thin margin
Half buried in the sand, on Viagra overload

Feeding off puzzled memory
Where no answers are raised cordial
Cutting everything down to size
Eating right off my kitchen table
Whom I did not invite…
Desperately digging for food, in snow covered weather
Writing about mad men who drink cheap whisky
Commingling like road kill thoughts sickening
Greasy stains winking

And I wonder…what is this place?
Why did I stop here?
How do they fill each other?
Beneath the echelon of hunger?

Drums of woeful attitudes
Raiding the next fishing village
With no thought of humble pleasures
Burning ladder spindles
Eye of envy, looking through every blue window
Gesturing of inclement weather, fangs dripping saliva
Staring past the scent of magnolia
Dicing onions

Contrary to everything which needs each other

How can one give, what they’ve never known?

Yet, tomorrow’s dawn still comes
Just like I thought her
Like a lifelong nuptial
Well fed and muscular

High flavored neurons, never counting ghosts
Painting physically powerful dreams
Branching resilient
Glossy fibers of a contented mentor
Facilitating self-possession
Self-interest glowing….like a child star
Being born…
Arranging little garden ponds
Musing air born fogs
Like my lifelong silhouette
Mouth shaped of rose, beyond belief
Increasing my eyes heedless
And lay elegant around my feet
Planting impressions into the future
Regardless of what people think
Sincerity appreciates, regardless of race or creed

"Sincerity appreciates, regardless of race or creed"

~ Methinks such "thoughts" be not "craggy"!

Wonderful, thought-provoking writing from you ~ as usual!!!

don't ask me why but this poem made me think of building a Starbucks on the boardwalk at the beach

I really like your imagery, there were some awesome lines in here!

Lee,

The more I read your writing, the more I like it!  Your thinking is so radiant, branching off in a spoke-like motion, giving so much room for interpretation, but going back to the main focus.   I understand more each time, but still have a way to go.  Be assured I'll keep trying.  You are a tremendous writer.
