Waves

Waves of memories wash my shore
As I traverse the evermore
Act like quicksand pulling me
Returning waves back to the sea.

My feet are washed the waters stream
Are set upon a path of dream
Sending me to where and why
Weather rue or soothing sigh

They rush my mind like seagulls fly
That scream and cry and fill the sky
That search for food with hungry looks
I’ve felt the same while reading books.

And so I search the rainbows path
I’d rather that then hate and wrath
I ride the revelry of love
I much prefer the flying dove

Do come with me if you wish
It only takes a mental swish.

I can hear the seagulls now.  Thanks for this trip to the shore.  And now I must make my mental swish to work.   Have a good day!

I'll wait for you on the suede sand ...
we'll walk in the warm waves hand in hand.
Theres no place other place, sky, sea or land ...
as cool as strolling your beaches of understand.

Through the water ... through the rain ... to the soul of everything
Wash my heart out on the stones ... and I'm almost gone.
