Phantom woman in the night,
An apparition come to sight
The bounty of your form's recalled
(From still fresh dreams)
*
I wake, with a start, straight upright
Her image, perfect, still revealed
No fairer dancer ever danced,
Across elysian fields..
*
But laying near, is my flesh love,
In firm existence, closely by
I kiss her just below the ear,
Because of pangs of guilt I feel.
*
A sigh emits on her soft breath,
Her lips make smile, but still she sleeps
Perhaps it is a sign that Paris,
Takes my place by his conceit;
Like Aphrodite did in dreams of mine?
*
end

  Paris smiles...
go ahead
you may, too.

It's ok.

A dream comes from a place you really can't control...and it caused you to gave your flesh and blood dream such a sweet kiss.  I agree with Sunshine...smile! I enjoyed this poem..and can relate as I'm sure many can.

(big angel hugs) Oh Ford, I understand these dreams all too well because I have them almost every night, dearest friend, they are so surreal and strange yet beautiful, sometimes ever too strong and passionate and they make me weak when I wake up in the morning! (sigh) So many of my poems are based on my dreams, as I believe dreams are one of the most precious gifts God grants us, and I share them in poetry in both the Open and Matre forums so others could relate to them and know they are not alone and they don't feel alone struggling with the mysteries and passions, or is it I just listen to too much Grateful Dead? LOL! God Bless You, sweet friend, we all love you so much! You have such a beautiful heart, sweet Ford, thank you for sharing!

May love and light always shine upon you!

Love,
Noah Eaton
