~*~

The sound of a piano playing from afar
reminds me other days in another time
sweeping across the keys
with so few notes in contemplation
a rendition of heart songs
and set backs that fell short.

What begins we only perceive as ours
music like water will find a way in the end
coursing through poetic streams
and so many dreams.

Inspired by the view of something more
and sometimes less
enables us to hold a moment still
and relive the melody that opens a door
to faraway places left behind.

Cascading beneath a summer moon
chained to memories that fill the emptiness
passed over in the shadows
changed in subtle ways
accompanied by the darkness
and so many stars.

That it may be experienced as if a lifetime...
Excellent write here Bluesy and the inspire is almost dreamlike in it's softness.

What a beautiful piece.  I started to pick out a favorite part, but I can't separate it, it all flows together.  I can hear the music and feel those memories, emotions....

*sigh*...memories that paint peace and love as one gazes at the stars of the past...I love it...

Wow! I can relate to this. I feel about music the same as these words. Well expressed and most enjoyable, indeed.

Thanks for sharing!

Bluesy this is such a bittersweet beauty...
a lovely mix of imagery and emotional reflection...love the above verse and the first one as well.
Great writing groovy girl

Lori
I have been a daydreamer since I was a kid...these words describe a familiar feeling..

"Inspired by the view of something more
and sometimes less
enables us to hold a moment still
and relive the melody that opens a door.."

Nice work..enjoyed
