In Your Poetic Mind

0 posted 2004-03-09 03:30 PM

From My Journals of Endless Winter

~~
Show me your shadows and all you hold
beyond touch
this night  sky fills midnights void
in colored hues of you

I, in stolen sleep
linger, lost at your lips
silhouettes of memories haunt
my fingertips touch
hour after after I think of you
how your tender words still weep inside

even now, I adore silence

We, pressed in kaleidoscope connection
while the universe drifts between us
endlessly outward

moonlight  spilling
on stones,  --it is then
I watch your eyes sleep

as midnight arrives

I scatter salt
whispering your name to the sea
until the waves fade you away

again,  I am left sliding along pure
darkness

awaiting to taste Spring upon
your lips
~~

Ah Lauren, this is just so very lovely.
Not surprisingly, I chose the same lines as my sister as being my favourites.
Beautiful..simply beautiful.

=============================

you were expecting me, right?

I read you and hear the sky sigh with me ...
I would swear on my love of poetry that when you type these, computer keys make the sound of a piano resonating...
your poetry is a symphony of heart sounds.

Through the water ... through the rain ... to the soul of everything
Wash my heart out on the stones ... and I'm almost gone.

Let's see... while reading this I could picture a sailor returning to sea, with his loved one passionately and patiently waiting for his return... nature... stillness...landscapes with oceans in the background... April ethereal!

Enjoyed!

Lauren you have a very beautiful dreamlike quality to your poems..you present frames..like flashbacks to us the reader and we see your unique world...

Thank you...

Lauren, your poetry is so beautiful.....
it's peaceful feeling. I still wish that I
could read some of your journals and notebooks.
Are you ever going to publish them? I wish you would.
Hugs, my friend
