Lonesome brother, son of soul
Miles between and further still
Lies the tie that binds our heart
In twain to one…mind…one…life

Coursing fears like willowed rains
Meet in darkness, flee in vain
Conjure up the boogey-man
Shooed away by heart-beat’s song

Echoing healing, wings of balm
Touching deep within,
Softly lulling, soothing worry
Razing shadows, raising hopes

Calming life to live again
When miles are gone, we’ll meet again

As I read you, my heart saw images of twins separated at birth...I have no idea why that came to me...but the severing of family, for whatever reason is especially hard on the children.

Good write...many different roads to explore here. TD
