The morning asked
The sunshine basked
Sleepy eyes blinked
The echoes winked
The sounds were soft
Fingers were crossed
Time chattered aimlessly
Love wandered helplessly
Sighs were felt but never heard
Time worried the deeper self
Pushing something important to the shelf
Serene breezes wafted full
Momentous feelings felt the pull
Life pulls and pushes us
Sometimes we are forced to board the bus
But into night our souls do wander
Hoping that we don’t squander
Loves we have that can be near
Loves that may cause us fear
So as the night drew into day
I hoped that morning would be on its way
But then that question posed to us all
The morning asked…

Very nice! I liked the long and short lines in this.
