Little Tune How simple is that little tune That comes on footsteps soft and light And fills my heart with sheer delight Then plucking gently on the strings Of heart’s most deep and sacred things My sorrow is exhumed The splendor of a little tune Stirs up the wells of seasons past And draws their teardrops swift and fast So softly does the song caress Exquisite moments dearly blessed And sends me dancing to my tomb Elizabeth Santos |

A simple little tune and a beautiful little poem. Enjoyed Elizabeth. Beauty of the world which is soon to perish has two edges, one of laughter and one of anguish, cutting the heart asunder. |
