Bouncing Echoes

Bouncing echoes passed my head
Some alive and some were dead
Some wore shadows on their wings
And some had webs of hanging strings.

I tried to catch some in my ear
Some that passed of yesteryear
Held them in a sticky bind
The nectar of a searching mind

I viewed them once again in clear
Less emotion and less in fear
Weighted them a scale of true
And watched them change to something new.

They seemed to form a prickly rose
Of sucrose sweet and thorns expose
While in my youth they turned my head
It’s rose and thorn I took to bed

Roses are the sedge of pledge
As long as you don’t dredge the edge

I didn't know that roses are the sedge of pledge, so I've learned something. Good write, the metre is perfect as usual.

Here in the midst of my lonely abyss, a single joy I find...your presence in my mind.  Unknown

Nice

It sounds of either memories or memories or some memories

Breath taking Sir, your talents are truly astonishing. I really like the ending punch line that wrapped it all together.

I love the wisdom and humility of that verse Sy-babers... so much truth in your words.. the world would be a much kinder place if such wisdom was applied in our daily lives.

As always I learn from your rhymes divine.

JM,
You just made my day, I was just moping and
groping and now I'm hoping and coping.
Thank you Tink.

The nectar of a searching mind

Bouncing echoes is a wonderful write and the above line truly amazes for its beauty.

Love and hugs, dear Seymour.
