Picture by Alan Ayers * * * Our hearts reflected off each other As words blended into rhyme We wrote of love in all its glory So surreal, yet so divine A kaleidoscope of color Was cast across the deep blue sky As we wrote in perfect harmony Our words were given wings to fly I saw an image of a princess Waiting for her handsome knight As you held my hand in guidance I was drawn towards love's light A pair of star crossed lovers Came to life upon the page Love was capsulised in an instant And frozen in a by-gone age I felt much joy and rapture As our tale of love unfurled I could not keep it to myself I had to share it with the world * * * "We were two but had one heart" I am in motion |
