Urban Sprawl....
*
Daybreak, trees enveloped;
Sight blurred in a stupor of fog...
*
Sweet-gums, gilded by the mist,
Condensed, shed silver tears
From star-leaf tips;
Gathered such, the drops decline
And chill the body of a youth,
Lost in a warp of time.
*
Pheasants crow from thickets,
Of smilax and Virginia creeper
Whose ropes climb high in ancient oaks;
The buck that rubbed their trunks
With essence of its tarsal,
Now returns to check his scrape
Sniffs and snorts, then listens;
For any doe that pleads an acquiescence.
*
Giggles emit from the hidden boy,
Screens of leaves make a voyeurs grotto.
All is silent but for stifled,
Laughing sounds;
But fog is thin, and can not sift
What comes to ears (on a pace) mercurial;
*
Steel hooves, close by, are galloping
Across a wooden plain, warriors armed
With illusions of grandeur,
Waving victory flags of profit,
Driving steel through palms,
Of his sacrificed Goddess,
Hanging her on a cross of glass
And concrete (resurrection) is impossible...
Their boulders were (still are) too large,
Cannot be moved,
And will block the cave forever....

(big angel hugs) I've never been thrilled with the urban sprawl, as I feel it disrupts the natural scenery all-around! (sigh) May that goddess pinned from the cross of glass be resurrected and graze the soils to their organic form again, God Bless You, we all love you so much! You have such a beautiful heart, sweet Ford, thank you for sharing!

May love and light always shine upon you!

Love,
Noah Eaton
