Pale Rainbow

Stormy clouds, blistering rain,
heading towards rolling waters
of majestic majesty.
The sun, trying to peek out from playful,
fluffy clouds.
As I gaze out the window,
clouds are passing at a great speed.
A rainbow pale in color,
peeks at the very top of my
window that overlooks my garden of serenity.
I smile, enraptured by the beauty, I step outside.
My beautiful rainbow is flying with the wind.
She is nowhere to be found.
I go inside and feel a strange twinge of sadness.
For I wanted to capture my rainbow in print.
To be able to gaze upon its beauty for the days to come for
God has given a magnificent photograph
with a wide sweep of His hands.
The look has the delicacy of an airbrushed sky in delicate hues of
Caribbean blue,
shades of mauve,
and pale golden yellow..
Clouds of wispy white, glide across the heavens like a ballerina in flight.
But alas my rainbow is no more.
I return to my window my head held down low
To my smiling delight,
there is my beautiful pale rainbow.
It must be an illusion captured just for me to see.
I return to the warm breezes of outside
and
I walk around the house and in my line of vision
is a delicate rose.
The glittering teardrops sparkling like crystal diamonds on her delicate velvet petals.
I am a blessed child of the earth today.
The gods have taken notice of me
and
decided to share this lovely vision of nature in all her glory and beauty.
As I whisper into the wind I say a silent prayer
Thank You.

Love Bon-Bon

loved the way you accepted the substitution of the rose for the rainbow
