Its amazing how fast your life can change,
A split second and nothing is the same.
It wasn't my fault and it wasnt hers,
So why did she have to die?

She was my best friend,
and now she is dead.
One stupid mistake not made by her,
and now everything in my life is a total blurr.

She knew what not to do,
She promised she'd be good.
She didnt drink a single drop,
Sober and clean she stood.

So why then you ask,
is she the one dead.
The answer is this,
HE couldnt get this through his it.

He did the wrong things and wasnt smart like she was,
He chose to get into his car,
he thought to himself"its only a buzz"

Now her beautiful eyes are closed forever,
Her graceful legs are still.
She'll never get up to dance again,
or cheer up her many friends.

Her life is through,
and it wasnt her fault.
He chose to drink, and then to drive,
He Chose to take away my friend,
And ruin my life in the end.

wow, powerful and sad...im so sorry....this is painfully beautiful

joy has its own justice. and dreams are languid and lawless. and everything bows to beauty, when it's fierce and when it's flawless...

Hey this is a very tragic poem. I'm kinda concerned. Give me a ring when you get this reply. A sad story that happens all too often. If only people would take a split second to think before they react...
