Our eyes sleep
our lips meet
your heartbeat
harmonises with mine.
You whisper that you fear
this perpetual ache
inside your heart.
You want to rip it out
but it has an alluring attraction.

I fear rejection,
the pain of a papercut,
the tainted flow of blood
and the heartbeat of a nightmare.
But I stand before you
to let you know
that forever and a day
I will not fear your love.

I fear rejection,
the pain of a papercut,
the tainted flow of blood
and the heartbeat of a nightmare.

Read this yesterday, Kim,
and pondered on it...

These were the strongest lines, for me,
and are worthy of a second look,
and another poem.
