the spirit rejoices over what it has left.

Don't you just love it when spring is on the way? No flower buds on my Magnolia yet, but my little daffy's are peeking little noses out of the ground.
Pretty picture Marge.

Marge, how lovely! You're so far ahead of us here, and I do so look forward to the warmth and the flowers. Sigh.

Dear Marge:  What a treat it is to see the fruit trees flowering again with spring. This is so pretty!  I had two pear trees when we first moved here, but they both died the first winter!  I decided not to re-plant. I'll just enjoy yours.

Love

How beautiful. *S* My Dad says his peach trees are blooming... I finally got him to plant pears and plums this year... Now you have my mouth watering for the succulent juiciness of ripened fruit! *G*

Welcome, Spring!!  Marge, there could not be a better welcome committee than your words!  This reminds me of the pear tree on my mother's farm.  It is a very, very rare type of tree, actually planted by "Johnny Appleseed" -- truly.  It was hit by lightning about 20 years ago and we thought we'd lost it.  But what happened was a branch laid against the ground actually somehow miracously grafted itself into another sapling.  So, now there are two.  Perhaps, someday one of us sisters will pen a poem about that wonderful tree.  Thanks for you poem!
