All about sinister publicity
in the ever restless city
false agents that represent artists
from an agency he was sent, how "triste"

while an artist may likened to be the next Dali
I might as well live up a neighbours tree
why give credence to an agent that smears a venue space
why believe in a  man who spins news from black lace?

positive advertisement brings in the goods
negative captions are brought in by hoods
they ruin their prospects of returning to write
as unjustifed slander hits the press out of spite...

Cause negative publicity unless justified
will urge the public to have the author tried
who risks impromptu harassment of prospective business host
who minds his own interest, disinterested in  false article posts..

False when it scraps a place that has shown success
is under current transformation to show its best
that doesn't stoop to dupe the public about next door venues
why send false emissaries to write negative reviews?..

Let alone accuse your host of taking the Quebec public away
do you think the viewing public will wan and sway?
they should know that the space owner builds his
clientele on trust
say that he is a keen competitor if you must

Negativity will generate public refusal
to read your articles without careful perusal
you may be a reporter who backs a competitor nearby
or a socalled agent who represents artists on the fly...

Not sure who your subject is... perhaps, Paul Martin? Anyway, the poem serves a purpose I'm sure. Good job! Grover.

well, you got me too...of course I'm never up on the issues, but maybe this poem has to do with a political figure?

I'm stumped, but it's a good write that does that to a person

Hey Grover no it's a local venue in Montreal,
which is making a name for itself dispite
the interests of some arrogant few, when you're in town I'd be pleased to show you...
