At the onset of change-
The beginning of her new life
Strong hands nurture and toil
And so tenderly love

Struggling to learn English
And find work enough
To make her dream come true
To give her gift to her kids

In baby steps she moves
And though she is no longer young
And her body is weary
Courage pushes her forward

Mopping floors and folding clothes,
Leaving her family behind -
Even the face of bigotry
Is a small price to pay

For there she was rich
Here, her hands have become calloused
And lonliness has cut her heart
    All I can say

     Is Lady

this is a very touching write

I don't even have words...I just remember a friend of mine from long ago.
