I know that your hiding things
Within those words you say to me
Sheltering me from the pain
Protecting my feelings as you left.

You were all but a dream
Brought to me from afar
Now taken from my side
Cast back into the tides

Yet I listened as you left
“Don’t cry those tears for me
For one day we shall be free
To love in eternal peace”
And I still wait for that day to arrive

Still im acting so distant now
Lost without you
You’d always fight my battles
Now your gone
The battles fight themselves

But in memories you lay
Waiting to kiss me
In your arms I’d wish to stay

Till the day id die
And travel to your side
Forever be with you my love
Till all the end of time.

****tides have a way of traveling great distances and greeting you elsewhere down the road, often when you least expect them***
