Noon Upon Mountain High Sun

She awaits the shadows in light.

On high points of a long ago
Volcanic thrust,
Long past the cool down,
Now, where

Primrose ring the eye line
Lending effusive color, highlighting
Gentian in wave of noon winds,

As delphinium beg to be garlanded
Into crowns.

She is alone, awaiting the shadows.

Her fingers ply stems into braiding
Thoughts as elusive as dreams,
Playing catch as catch can
And come home to me

Here, in the sunlight.  Zenith is the
High point in time and noon is the low point
For shadows, sitting beneath her
As they are, so close, and yet
So far.

What grasses yet to seed are fragrant
In warm glow, what moisture from
Dry dew still kissing air among
The winds, and far away colors fading
In haze of day.

Waiting shadows in light, she is,
Counting styles within her book,
Noting particular vernacular that trips
Over her tongue
As she speaks to windy grasses,
Who sing back to her
In Beethoven time

As by blood coursing, meter pounds
Her life alive, while she awaits
The shadows.

There.  It starts to slip now, toward the western range.
In some short hours she will shiver
Eve into her arms
Caressing starlight with her eyes
And fall into the sigh of shadows
Gathering in to take her
Up, again.

She counts wild poppies, and
Slips again into her smile.

As you SeeHearFeelKnowUndeniably
no place far thy cry woe joy goes unheard
no distance so far all that is fails
illuminating smile tear awe your eyes sing

and always from there on high
waiting leading pulling thundering
each magic moment nigh lifting high higher
till clouds reach down kiss pon thy cheek

forever glow to shine awakening all life
to sight to light

Where rainbow touches earth gentlest
glow twilight abounding promising
the Orchestra Will Play Tonight
