Fitting Epitaph

Tacky wooden sign on a fleamarket stall:
"You break it
You buy it"

That's fitting.
You smashed my second-hand dreams,
when will you settle up?

Why do I ask?
You walk away from me
like you've walked away
from every promise you ever swore,
every debt you ever made.

Oh, right. I forgot.
The world owed you.

Well, I didn't.

(big angel hugs) Well maybe you should warn him that just like a heart, it has a tag you cannot tear off like one on a mattress, and it is truly like a criminal offense! (sad sigh) I hope you feel better soon, I send healing angel hugs to you, we all love you so much! You have such a beautiful heart, sweet Nancy, thank you for sharing!

May love and light always shine upon you!

Love,
Noah Eaton

muted, struck a spark, eh? I've read your stuff, girl. It's all great. But I could tell you'd know about this feeling.

Noah, thanks but this was all a long time ago.  He never learned and it's too late now.

Edder, what a compliment! Thank you.

EA, thanks, girl.

suthern, I knew you'd relate to this one. I'm pleased you like the ending-I admire the way you write.

Goldenrose, thank you so much for reading and replying-I appreciate it more than you can know.

Marge- Thanks, lady! You're a pet.
