Goodbye is such a final word
held together with my tears
Saying it out loud will cause
such pain for many years

It must be, it’s time you see
for me to leave this place
So show me your goodbye smile
show me your goodbye face

While here, I hope that I
have touched a life or two
Your words touched me I know
That’s why this is hard to do

Is goodbye a soft handshake?
A hug with tender sighs?
We’ll know soon enough my friend
When I have to say my goodbyes

I find it hard to embrace goodbye...and I always want to tell those I care about the truth of their impact...
Time is endless...All prayers.

Sharon..I truly hope that this is just a post and not a real goodbye. Your spirit and energy helps make these blue pages thrive and it would be a huge loss to us to lose you.  I do truly hope this is not "Goodbye".

I never want to leave anyone behind...
so I say "later..."

in other countries, they believe this is
much better than goodbye.  Which means
forever.

Very nice, Devine One...

It's a word that's trembling on my tongue these days... I'm just afraid I'd end my world by speaking it.

Excellent write, dear lady... as always.

If this is more than a poem, know you'll be missed so much... never doubt you have touched. May your path be kind... and bring you back this way again.

No Sharon....

And hurry, I don't want to worry.

Always, Alyssa

Just when I got accustomed to you posting strictly imaginative poems, you post this.

I've spent the past day saying to myself that it's another devine poem, Karen. But I guess I know better.

I'm one of the lucky ones too, I don't have to say goodbye. (Lucky or stubborn? because I just refuse to say goodbye.)

So let's just NOT say goodbye. I like to think that you will pop in from time to time, and regale us with tales of your adventures.

I'm sad for us, but excited for you.

You are a wonderful, caring, sensitive person and I consider myself one of the luckiest people alive to have met you. The gifts you've given me are priceless, and I have tangible gifts to touch and remind me of your kindness and generosity too. (Our ornament hangs from my desk lamp, and my mouse loves her new pad...a cranberry oriental rug! As always, you do know me...)

Thank you Sharon. The forum will miss your humor and thoughtfulness.

(I understand that on your way "there" you have to pass through "here". Consider that a date.)

Love you much devine poet.

Ditto my soul sister up there above me - but I am SO excited for your new beginnings, and even your cat gets to play "Thelma"   Heck you know I don't do goodbyes, and sure can't do them right now, so later PoetrydeVinegator, at least in the halls of Passions anyway.  Seems to me that in the hallways out of here, I can't get rid of you not matter how hard I try, LOL.  You know I am kidding oh poetry partner of crime that you are and you are truly a blessing in my life.

The months will fly by fast, and the beauty is - you will be full of poetic passion when you do return.

"You say good-bye... and I'll say hello.. hello, hello??"

This is a great poem - BUT - Not to worry, PdV.. We're saving your place for ya - Those deVine shoes would be far to difficult to fill by anyone else anyway.

Have a wonderful trip and get back ASAP, All righty??...
