In winters wilderness snow glows blue from moonlight stream.

My wolf eyes burning bore holes in the soft snow, searching, ever searching.

My heart is free, my life is bleak, i howl for an answer, it echoes around the silent woodland.

Into your world, your dreaming thoughts, stepping from shadows to quicken your heart with fear.

You see me but dont see my beauty, my death mask seizes you and grips you with terror.

We are all within nature, yet here i am a loner, an outsider, but this is my lot and i retreat easily behind my cloak of death.

The movements i make and the deeds i do, are mine to do as i wish, beacuse i can.

Nobody usurps me, black maybe my soul, but beauty and spirit unmatched, will keep me at the top of the food chain.

Margherita...i am honoured by your words...we are all part of nature..and should embrace sprituality, magic and folklore....and dispence with science for a while to get back some of our lost beliefs....bring the mystery and magic back to our lives...science leads to wars....

this reminds me of two things...presently the book I'm reading called "Sea Change" and something my uncle once told me, over and over again....don't ever forget where you came from...AND...the minute you become to confident...to sure of yourself...is when that horse is going to throw you off...he trained horses.

Outstanding write...proved several great inspirations for me....and you said you aren't a poet??????  I beg to differ, Mr.   Smiles

And while a carnivore, they take no more than they need, and always make it a clean and decisive death.  While some male wolves will always be loners, still the pack can be just that, a family of sisters, brothers, father, mother, all in search of one thing...survival.

I enjoyed this, Phil.  Thank you.
