I'd found myself a hippy "shrink"--
I fell in love upon first sight.
He asked if I would play a game,
I answered that I might.

"There are sayings we have heard,"
(I noticed that his eyes were blue)
"I will give you half of them--"
I knew just what to do.

So I started mockingly--
"Let's not cry about spilt milk--
pride doth go before a fall."
My smile was smooth as silk.

"Ah," he said, "You're good at games."
"I have learned them in the past."
"You're very quick," he said to me,
"but please, indulge me with a laugh."

"Only if I can go first."
I crossed my arms across my chest.
"Tell me doc, 'he who laughs last'?"
Expectant answer of "laughs best".

Silent pause, considering--
his answer jolted me alive--
"She," he answered pointedly,
"laughs last because she did survive."

Ohh....I want one!!!

I went to a shrink once and he told me I was the most stable person that had ever walked into his office and I didn't need therapy...
I left..feeling very smug...until I wondered if he just thought I was beyond help.

love ya Karen.

Hmmmm... *S* That sure beats endless repetions of "so how does that make you feel?"

Just wunnerful, doc... why else would I be sitting here? *S*

*chuckle*

I spend a lot of time, wondering what the good doc would say, and this memory hit me.

I hope you all enjoyed.

Hugs.

neat conversation...neat write

I love the "he said/she said" aspect. It's neat to share people's talks, like being a fly on the wall
